Wine, dine and recline in the heart of Suffolk

The Oaksmere is a lovingly restored Tudor manor, set in 17 acres of Suffolk parkland just outside of the market town of Eye, Diss.

Boasting a Victorian walled kitchen garden, which is at the heart of our menus, alongside an on site butchery, Executive Chef Matt Avery and his team create exquisite dishes from homegrown and local produce.

We have a range of dining areas including a public house, three private dining rooms, a spacious terrace with children’s play area, and a bright orangery style restaurant with open pass – so that you can watch the kitchen team at work!

The Main House and Coach House boast 14 state of the art, individually designed bedrooms and suites, including family bedrooms and dog friendly bedrooms – perfect for reclining after dinner or a stroll in the Suffolk countryside.

Nestled in our landscaped parkland, with the idyllic Suffolk countryside as a backdrop, stands our wedding and event marquee. Our wedding and event planners offer a bespoke planning service, with each wedding or event individually tailored to your personal taste and requirements.

Polite Notice

Due to this quiet time of year and staffing shortages. We have made the decision to temporarily close our main restaurant dining room (The Orangery) . We will instead be serving our Pub Dining Menu 12.00-21.30 in our Pub Dining Rooms.

In addition to our hearty Pub Menu, we have a Private Dining Menu available for group of 6+ to pre-order from.

We are still taking enquiries and bookings for private events & parties, meeting rooms and weddings.

We very much hope to re-open our restaurant in the Spring.
