The Public Bar
With a lively and friendly atmosphere, a wide range of ales, beers and ciders mainly from our neighbours at Adnams and Aspalls and fine wines served at the correct temperature, you’ll feel at home as soon as you walk over our ancient well into The Oaksmere bar near Diss, on the Suffolk, Norfolk border.
Experience a perfect pub ambience for drinking with friends whilst admiring impressive Tudor features such as the patterned tiled floor, the log fires and the original beams.
Easy access to free Wi-Fi enables you to keep pace with business updates as the day unfolds.
Great food is offered from our bar menu, overseen by The Oaksmere’s Executive Chef Alan Dann. Enjoy lunch or dinner, or simply come for locally roasted coffee and delicious cakes. Share our beautiful gardens too, with teak furniture and plenty of space to enjoy food and drinks outside. With 17 acres of grounds on offer you won’t feel cramped.
Open from 10am until late every day of the week.
The cocktail bar
If you have something to celebrate, have time for a pre-dinner aperitif or just need an excuse to meet up with friends, the cocktail bar, based in our Victorian conservatory, is the place to be seen. From classic cocktail recipes to frozen delights, wine or champagne, there really is something for everyone.
With a separate entrance to that of the main bar, you’ll feel extra special as you step into this beautiful area of the building with its contemporary décor and order a fabulous cocktail.
If you’ve booked a table at The Oaksmere, our fine dining restaurant, this is the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or a glass of champagne afterwards. However you choose to use our cocktail bar, we feel sure you will enjoy the experience. And with new cocktails offered each week, we suspect you’ll want to come back for more.
Open from 12 noon until late, Tuesday – Saturday.
